Hi Everyone,
This is a post to tell you all what is already self-evident, namely that Bob’s Yer Uncle! is on hiatus until further notice. We’re all well (all three of us) and everything’s fine, but work and family obligations have made it impossible for us to keep producing shows for the time being. The website will be staying up and hopefully it won’t be too long before we can get back to recording, but we don’t know exactly what the future holds. Thanks for bearing with us, and if you get really bored you can always listen to an old episode or try the The Corridor audio novel if you haven’t already.
Take care, thanks for all your support, and we hope to be speaking to you again soon,
Zan and Jana.

But you’re not leaving forever, right? One day you will be back and doing regular episodes. Please don’t follow in the footsteps of PK and J.
In the meantime, why don’t you set up a Twitter account, so we can keep tabs on you?

Hey Guys,
I’ve been with you since the begining and hope you’ll find the time to make it back.
Glad to know that everything’s okay and thanks for the update.

Thanks for the well-wishes, those of you who’ve sent them. Of course, we can’t cross-our-hearts-and-hope-to-die promise we’ll be back one day - who knows what tomorrow will bring. But that’s the plan.
Tvindy, the problem with Twitter is that it requires you to be hanging around a computer all day. Caring for a baby doesn’t really make that possible. I could use Twitter while at work, but that would mean I wouldn’t be working.
To be honest the whole idea of Twitter has always horrified me; I don’t even like having a mobile phone on me all the time.

I second the Twitter thoughts. People set up Twitter to post their little twitterings to their blog, and it’s always the most banal, dumb stuff.

Enjoy your hiatus. Life with child is hectic. I’ll miss your wit and wisdom, but respect your decision to take a break and do what is really important. Hopefully we will hear from you again….but if not…it was a good run and there is always email.
Cheers.

Ok phew, I was wondering. I thought that it had to do with you downloading some big movie file and the Australian authorities came and took you away.

Like a comet. Burning brightly in the firmament for some time, then disappearing into the unknown, possibly to return again in the future.

(fingers in ears, singing) La! La lala la laaaaa! I’m not listening!!! La la la laaaa! What’s that lame old joke? “I can’t be drowning in the river!” said Cleopatra, deep in denial.
I have been very fortunate to secure employment recently, so my free time has gone from 98% to nil.
Otherwise, I’d create a clip show/mashup out of your old episodes, just to keep us Uncled up until your return!
Best,
Vibeeen (la la la)

Gonna miss you two. You have to come back! I demand it! How else am I going to know that Australia still exists?
May 9th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Well I’ll sure miss you two. And now I won’t hear my voiceover on the smut report anymore nor will I ever get the chance to see the Texas flag waving off the back of the deck at your house (aka The Official Republic of Texas Embassy of Australia). I wish you two a safe hiatus and hope you are able to work in a return whenever the creative mood strikes you.
Best to you two and the muffin tot,
Your biggest fan in Texas,
Curtis.

This just in: Tourism in Sierra Leone plummets dramatically since Christmas. Podcast hiatus blamed.

Hello? … Uh, hello? Is anyone around?
I hope so.
September 18th, 2008 at 9:33 am
I’m still here. I don’t think anyone else is, though.
September 18th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
If by “here” you mean “subscribed to the comments feed, then I’m here too.
September 19th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
Hello Zan! Hello Vibeen and Ryan! I’m here too. We might be suprised by how many people are lurking around without commenting. I stop by once in a while just to see if there’s any activity.
Hope springs eternal right?
September 19th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Wow! Hi everyone!
Jason, I pop in like you do, every now and then to see if anyone’s chatting. I’m really glad you, Zan, and Ryan responded… I still have hope too! I miss Zan and Jana.
September 20th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Still here also! Hope all is well with everyone.

Still check in every so often to see if there is still a pulse. Hopefully BYU will wake from the coma, get off life support and show up once again in my downloads. Until then we can only hope and lurk.

There’s a new TV show here in the US called “MANswers” and according to a co-worker (I haven’t watched it, I swear!) the show said that if a woman joins the military in Australia she can get a free boob job. Something to do with a boost in confidence. That sounds like a perfect topic for getting Zan and Jana off of hiatus! Woo Hoo!

What about the disturbing new Australian tourism ads directed by Baz Luhrman that are replacing the Where The Bloody Hell Are You ads?

Me too.
November 7th, 2008 at 10:38 pm
And of course, I’m still subscribed in iTunes, so as soon as a new episode is released, I’ll immediately download and listen to it, probably on the same day.
December 5th, 2008 at 5:40 am
I still check itunes too. Hey, it’s december, almost a year since the last show. Hey Zan, how bout a 10 minute update episode so we know how you’re doing?
December 23rd, 2008 at 2:19 am
Hope everyone is well. Eager to hear from Zan and Jana! How’s Muffin Tot??
Merry whatever you’re celebrating!
December 23rd, 2008 at 10:40 pm
Today marks exactly one year since the last episode came out.

Yeah! Happy Holidays!

They must be traveling the world with Uncle Bob and are unable to get a reliable internet connection. Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.
