Zebulon - Thank you for taking away all the pleasure I might have had from having sex with my blow up doll. Now I won’t be able to get that image out of my head.
On the Japanese people not able to get it on even to have kids, this reminds me of the movie I’m currently recommending to everyone: Children of Men. I don’t know if it’s out where you are, but it definitely deserves to be seen, and in a theater, not on video.
Also, what is the name of the Real Doll doc?

Re: sex dolls having some kind of prolapse due to over-inflation, perhaps as they get more complex in design we’ll have specialist surgeons trained to take care of such problems. Of course, Realdolls are not inflatable, but the documentary did have a guy who worked as a kind of sex doll surgeon.
The documentary was called Love Me, Love My Doll. We’d also seen a Canadian doco called A Perfect Fake a while ago. It was a much better doco about the fetishisation of artificial women, but I was surprised to find that it made no mention of Realdolls at all (although it featured its fair share of other kinds of sex doll).

Yep, those are Realdolls. This guy was actually in the documentary we saw; he was the one whose interests seemed to revolve around latex ladies, guns, and swords.

The HBO documentary series “Real Sex” also had an episode on the Real Dolls. If you have HBO on demand you might be able to find it there. They also have a male version of the real doll with interchangable dildos. If you can fine the episode of Real Sex it had both versions of the doll in it with women “testing” the male doll out.
