I’ll listen tonight. I wonder if my useless voicemail made it in time.

Bobsurroundâ„¢ sounds great! Dang, Uncle Bob gets grumpy when he’s not getting enough.
A passing note, Penn Jillette suggests whenever referring to Gibson, call him Melvin Gibstein.
Great stuff!

Wikipedia has some interesting material on the origin of the Tooth Fairy. I particularly like this passage:
The most commonly accepted belief by academics is the fairy’s development from the tooth mouse, depicted in an 18th century French language fairy tale. In “La Bonne Petite Souris,” a mouse changes into a fairy to help a good Queen defeat an evil King by hiding under his pillow to torment him and knocking out all his teeth. Also, in Europe, baby teeth used to be fed to rodents and other animals in the hopes of getting sharper, more rodent-like, teeth in the future.

As I was listening to the latest episode, I came to the realization that Jana sings like an angel. I would like to propose a full length single of the Uncle Bob Theme Songâ„¢. The verses write themselves! The juxtaposition of Jana’s voice and lyrics about opium, hashish, and underaged Hong Kong prostitutes seems like an excellent idea.

Posting this on vacation from a hotel in San Juan. What dedication! And what a great episode of BYU (not just because of the shout-out) to listen to on the airplane.

It’s good to know that MP3 players/iPods are still allowed on some flights! I’m not a frequent air traveler (Australia was my last big trip), but I can’t imagine any flight without my iPod!

Oh yeah! Audio quality was very refreshing to hear!
I see someone else listens to Penn Jillette too. Melvyn Gibstein indeed. Hah.
Blah… no one wants to claim Mel Gibson. He was always homophobic, that we knew. Now we know like father, like son, in terms of his bigotry.
And I see Zan shares my glee with hearing from Saskia.
I’m looking forward to the next superhero show. A focus on villains would be cool. I unfortunately haven’t had time to contribute the way I’ve wanted to.
Worth mentioning though is the traditional villain’s explanation of his whole plan before he completes it… obviously supplying the tied-up hero time to escape. That was made light of in Pixar’s The Incredibles at one moment.
I wonder if there are any supervillains without traumatic childhoods… or bad haircuts?

My favorite supervillian has got to be Galactus, while his childhood is uncertain and his haircut equally so, he does wear a funny hat.
August 19th, 2006 at 6:34 pm
Ahhhh… funny hats! Excellent point. The other predictor of evil character! Witness Magneto too!

Lex Luthor has neither a funny haircut (he has no haircut at all) nor a traumatic childhood (unless you consider the TV version).
I can’t believe I’m so far behind on sending voicemail. I should just do a 3-hour message in one sitting and be done with it.
